Kuala Lumpur, 26 February 2021 – myTukar Sdn Bhd (the Company), Malaysia’s fastest-growing online used car trading platform today officially launched the myTukar Apprentice Programme in collaboration with TOC Automotive College (TOC), the leading automotive college in Malaysia. The 12-months myTukar Apprentice Programme will set an industry benchmark in the development of next-generation tech-enabled automotive professionals for Malaysia and South East Asia. 

With four intakes in a year, the myTukar Apprentice Programme is expected to produce 100 to 120 successful apprentices a year. Upon completion of the 3 months Automotive Assistant Technician Course at TOC, the apprentices will continue with a 9 months internship at myTukar and Carro’s inspection centres. This custom-fit course module by TOC enables a seamless transition for the apprentices into myTukar and Carro Group employment upon completion of the programme. Successful apprentices are guaranteed a career pathway within myTukar in Malaysia and even regional roles within Carro Group in South East Asia.

TOC’s role in the myTukar Apprentice Programme comprises course module development and delivery; enrolment of students into the programme; interviewing, shortlisting and monitoring of students as well as facilitating placements of apprentices and managing their performance during the 9 months internship.

The myTukar Apprentice Programme in collaboration with TOC will see students completing the 3 months Automotive Assistant Technician Course (AAT) conducted by TOC after which they will proceed with a 9 months internship at myTukar and Carro’s inspection centres.
